A pub in Oxfordshire has been listed in a prestigious pub award which has been running for almost a quarter of a century.
The Rose and Crown in Ashbury has been listed under the Community Hero category for this year’s Great British Pub Awards.
The venue is a traditional and comfortable village pub and inn, nestled at the foot of the White Horse Downs, in a scenic area on the borders of Wiltshire and South Oxfordshire.
The pub’s website states: “Food is served at lunchtime and in the evenings. Our menu comprises a range of modern British food made from locally sourced ingredients.
“We pride ourselves on the freshness of our food and variety of options to suit all.”
The winners of each category were announced last night (Tuesday, September 19) at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.
