Pulaski trounces Clinton County

Mar. 15—The Maroons of Pulaski County had a strong start to the season earlier in the week and were looking to continue that on Thursday as they welcomed in Clinton County for their first home game of their campaign. Getting out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning, it was clear that once again the Maroons were locked in. They ended up scoring at least one run in almost every inning as they defeated the Bulldogs 10-1.

Chase Farmer led the way with two RBI's on a home run along with two hits in the game. Bryce Cowell had three hits, with Chance Todd and Owen Stevens also collecting a hit. Cowell, Jacob Todd, Braden Hampton and Keegan Measel had an RBI apiece in the win. Trey Hornsby earned the win on the mound, pitching for four innings and allowing no hits along with one walk and striking out seven batters. The lone RBI from Clinton County was struck by junior Matt Duvall.

Pulaski sits at 2-0 for the season and will be in action on Saturday in a double-header at Mercer County. They will face off against Ballard at 2:30 p.m. before playing the Titans at 5 p.m.
