Christian Pulisic is among a cluster of Chelsea attackers displeased at a Thomas Tuchel demand, and what it’ll take to spark a Man Utd move has been revealed, per multiple reports.

The USA international, 23, has emerged as a surprise target to switch between ‘top six’ sides. Manchester United are on the hunt for five major additions in the next fortnight, with today’s Transfer Gossip detailing what positions will be addressed.

Winger is one, with Pulisic alongside Eredivisie standouts Cody Gakpo and Antony in Man Utd’s sights.

The Chelsea flyer has fallen down the pecking order under Tuchel and is generally limited to minutes from the bench these days.

With the World Cup looming on the horizon, Pulisic wants regular minutes to ensure he’s in the best shape possible for his country in Qatar.

That led to Manchester United emerging as a potential landing spot via the loan route. What’s more, the Athletic claimed Chelsea are receptive to the idea.

However, a report from the Daily Mail insists that comes with a caveat. Indeed, they claim Pulisic will be allowed to leave on a temporary basis, though only if he signs a new contract first.

Chelsea want to protect their investment having forked out £58m to Borussia Dortmund in 2019. His current contract expires in 2024, meaning he’d only have 12 months left after the loan deal concluded if he didn’t pen fresh terms first.

Tuchel preventing Pulisic from thriving?

Pulisic’s stance on that requirement isn’t stated in the piece. However, a second report from the Evening Standard offers insight on why he is unhappy at Stamford Bridge.

Aside from his lack of minutes, they claim Pulisic is among a handful of Blues attackers dissatisfied with the way Tuchel stifles their attacking instincts.

It’s claimed ‘Tuchel’s system inhibits their ability to be effective attackers, prioritising defensive solidity instead.’

Chelsea do regularly score less than fellow title rivals Liverpool and Man City in the league. However, it cannot be argued their defensive solidity was what anchored their run to Champions League glory 14 months ago.

Regardless, Pulisic seemingly holds a different view and a move to Old Trafford does look possible.

Aubameyang’s Chelsea, Man Utd preference emerges

The Blues and Red Devils are also linked regarding another piece of business this summer.

Both are searching for a new centre-forward and both are in the mix to sign Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon superstar could be squeezed out following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski. Furthermore, Barcelona have placed a £25m valuation on his head.

Aubameyang could represent a superb short-term option for either side. Though according to the Telegraph’s Matt Law, there’ll only be one winner if he moves.

The journalist stated Aubameyang will move to Chelsea, not Man Utd, if he leaves the Camp Nou.

Aubameyang played the best football of his career under Tuchel during their time at Borussia Dortmund.

Indeed, the ex-Arsenal hitman bagged an impressive 79 goals in 95 matches during those two seasons.

With Romelu Lukaku (loan) and Timo Werner (permanent) gone, Aubameyang may be next in line to lead the Chelsea attack.
