Quick turnaround: South boys lose for 2nd time within 21 hours

Jan. 27—Terre Haute South lost its sixth straight boys high school basketball game — and its second within 21 hours — as the Braves fell 63-59 Saturday afternoon at Evansville Bosse.

"Kids played hard and the game came down to one or two possessions down the stretch," Terre Haute South coach Maynard Lewis told the Tribune-Star afterward. "We did a lot of positive things in this game."

Junior Nathan Boyce paced the Braves with 17 points, while Josh Morgan added 13 and Zay Baker had 12.

On Friday night, Lewis' squad lost at Bloomington South 58-46. Its last victory was a 62-52 home decision over Parke Heritage on Dec. 28 in the First Financial Wabash Valley Classic.
