Raheem Sterling and Riccardo Calafiori have both dropped hints on Arsenal''s starting line-up ahead of their early season title showdown with Manchester City. Both sides have been battling it out at the Premier League summit for a number of years and the winner can take an early lead at the top.

Liverpool currently occupy first place after their win over AFC Bournemouth but as much as a draw for the Gunners will be enough to see them leapfrog Arne Slot's side and into second. City are the only team in the English top-flight with an 100 per cent record as they look to continue their winning run against their title rivals.

The Gunners are unbeaten so far in the Premier League with the controversial draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion as the only blemish on their record so far. Ahead of kick-off at the Etihad Stadium (4pm), Arsenal players have been posting to social media ahead of the clash.

Calafiori and Sterling have both posted a matchday preview graphic on their respective Instagram stories. Since arriving from Bologna in the summer, the Italian has been reduced to substitute appearances as he awaits his first start while the Chelsea loanee has made just one cameo in the Premier League.

Of course, this could just be someone running their accounts for them, posting regardless of whether they are going to be involved or not.

Both Calafiori and Sterling were introduced in the second-half against Atalanta, while Thomas Partey - who also posted on his social media ahead of Sunday's clash - started.

Martin Odegaard will continue to watch on from the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury during the international break for Norway.

City have issues of their own with Nathan Ake another casualty of national team football, picking up a groin injury for Holland, with Kevin de Bruyne a doubt as he was forced off against Inter.
