Raiders' move to Las Vegas means another brothel for Nevada

As the NFL keeps contradicting itself about gambling and Las Vegas, a state senator looks forward to taking them to the Supreme Court.

Because we needed something really tacky to add to the Oakland Raiders-to-Las-Vegas story . . .

Nevada brothel owner Dennis Hof wants to capitalize on the Silver and Black moving to Sin City in a few years. He announced Monday (per the Las Vegas Sun) he plans to open a sports-themedlegal brothel outside Las Vegas. The working name of the establishment: "Pirate's Booty Sports Brothel."

STEELE: Raiders' moves breaks Oakland's heart, steals its soul

And, because Hof is a master of class and taste, he said the brothel's VIP area, which will be available only to Raiders players and other high-profile athletes, will be named in honor of the late Darrell Russell, the former Raiders player who Hof says was a regular at his Bunny Ranch in the state (prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada).

The VIP area will be staffed with "over twenty cheerleader-garbed working girls called either the 'Wide Receivers' or 'Hookerettes,' I haven't yet decided," Hof said.

IYER: Vegas is NFL fans' new best road trip

Gee, that ought to make the actual Raiderettes cheerleading squad happy. You know, the women who had to sue the team to receive a decent wage.
