Tre’ Jackson's time in Los Angeles is over before it even started.
The Rams waived the former Patriots guard Friday following a failed physical. The team claimed him off waivers just last week.
Jackson was waived by New England on Wednesday and picked up by Los Angeles the next day. However, team doctors weren't optimistic about Jackson's knee injury and the impact it could have on his playing abilities.
Jackson, a 2015 fourth-round draft pick out of Florida State, missed all of 2016 with the knee injury but appeared in 13 games and made nine starts for the Patriots a year earlier in his rookie season.
The Rams will continue their search for players to better complement quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley as they prepare for voluntary veteran minicamp next week.
