Rangers are set to name former Manchester United chief executive officer as their new CEO, with a permanent chairman appointment also expected.

Patrick Stewart, who was at Old Trafford for 14 years and left at the conclusion of last season, served as the English Premier League giant's interim CEO in a period of transition between the Glazers and new powerbrokers INEOS. The Rangers Review now reports he is the man who is "expected" to take up the role after James Bisgrove departed Ibrox for Saudi Arabia in the summer.

A new chairman is also set to be appointed, with Malcolm Offord, Baron Offord of Garvel, expected to take up the post. The club's AGM takes place in early December, and this is when it is anticipated that interim chairman John Gilligan will transfer power to Offord.

Offord was recently the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Exports and has a background in equity.

The Daily Record report he was approached for comment, but declined at this time.
