Rangers bullpen issues continue; Matt Bush has sore right shoulder

With Sam Dyson and Jeremy Jeffress struggling, the Rangers can't afford to lose Bush.

The Rangers need answers from their struggling bullpen, but another question arose Wednesday when right-hander Matt Bush flew back to Texasfor an exam on his right AC joint, according to the Fort-Worth Star Telegram.

Bush will get an injection to help the sore joint. He already has allowed two earned runsin just 3 2/3 innings with five strikeoutsthis season.

And,believe it or not, Bush has been the most reliable bullpen arm for Texas (2-5)this season. Closer Sam Dyson, who may not be the team's closer for long, blew his second save opportunityof the young season Tuesday night.

Dyson has already allowed 11 earned runs in just three innings of work this season. His ERA is a whopping 33.00.

The Rangers also haveJeremy Jeffress, who saved 27 games for the Brewers last year before being traded to Texas. Jeffress has given up three earned runs in 2 2/3 innings this season, so manager Jeff Banister probably isn't sold on him, either.

The Rangers have one of the most talented lineups in baseball, but they will not reach their intended heights with such an abysmal bullpen.
