Rangers fans with season tickets in the rear of the Copland Road stand have been promised they will be able to attend the Hibs game, according to a report.

Gers were back at Ibrox for Saturday's Premier Sports Cup win over Dundee and will play there again when they welcome the Hibees on league duty this weekend. But after works completed in the Copland Road stand, the club are still awaiting the necessary safety certificates to open the back of the stand, with just the front of it used for the Dee clash.

It is hoped that will be rectified in time for Sunday's Premiership match. But in the event that doesn't happen, they have made assurances to season ticket holders in that area. Club chiefs have guaranteed seats will be made available elsewhere in the stadium in the event their own seats are not ready.

And they have encouraged anyone who cannot make the match to make their seats available on the seatsub ticket exchange which will help with housing ST holders in other areas.

According to the Daily Record, Copland Rear season ticket holders have been told Rangers are “doing everything we can to get your own seat ready”, with an email adding: "in the event the Copland Rear is not open for the Hibernian game, the club will guarantee you a seat elsewhere in the stadium. If this is the case, we will communicate directly with you and provide you with a QR code to access an alternative seat”.

Hibs are still waiting to find out if they will be given an allocation for away fans.
