Rangers have been hit with a five-figure UEFA fine for an off-field issue during their Champions League playoff clash with Dynamo Kyiv.

The Ibrox club were slapped with a £12k punishment from the August 13 fixture at Hampden Park. It was a disappointing result on the night as they lost 2-0 to tumble out of the competition and into the the Europa League with a 3-1 aggregate loss. Their misery has now been compounded by the governing body's decision to issue a fine for "blocking of public passageways" under Article. 38 of their regulations.

Philippe Clement's troops are ready to begin their Europa League campaign against Malmo next week with Gers looking to improve on their domestic results as they sit third in the Premiership table with a five point gap between Celtic and Aberdeen above the Light Blues.
