Do Rangers need a new permanent captain and how do Celtic handle incoming Nicolas Kuhn heat? Saturday Jury
There’s a lot of talk of Old Firm interest in Lennon Miller, but what’s the next step for the Motherwell wonder kid?
KEITH JACKSON: If Celtic aren’t already trying to engineer a deal behind the scenes then they should be. Rangers are unlikely to have the financial clout to compete. But if England’s top flight comes sniffing around then both of them might be priced out of the bidding.
FRASER WILSON: To keep playing. Wherever he chooses then regular starts has to be the big factor. He’s only just turned 18 so Miller has years and years of growth left. But it would be stunted if he was to find himself out of a starting XI.
MICHAEL GANNON: There’s a lot of sense in Celtic buying the midfielder and loaning him out, either back at Motherwell or further afield. It would be good to see Miller trying his luck abroad through, as we’ve seen how some of our youngsters can flourish on foreign fields.

How do Celtic handle the heat around Nicholas Kuhn right now with Premier League interest warming up?
KEITH : Ignore it. If Kuhn keeps on producing this kind of form then his value is only going to soar. Maybe start thinking about going to the market in a year from now.
FRASER: Celtic haven’t shied away from selling assets at the right price in recent years. It’s their model. If that’s next summer then I’m sure they will have replacements in mind. But for now Kuhn is crucial to the remainder of this season.
MICHAEL: Celtic can’t even consider seeing the wide man this January – for any price. They way the club handled the Matt O’Riley chase is the blueprint. Celtic should stay firm but the player will know he’ll eventually be allowed to go when the time and the price is right.
Is it time for Philippe Clement to name a new permanent Rangers captain rather than passing around the armband when James Tavernier is out of the line-up?
KEITH: Yes. Rangers need a leader out there on the pitch - not sitting on the bench. Tavernier has been a magnificent contributor over the years but has never seemed like a natural captain. Jack Butland seems more suited to the role.
FRASER: Yes. That would take some heat off Tavernier. Jack Butland is the perfect choice. He has the presence, experience, a calm head and crucially plays every week.
MICHAEL: Tavernier is the club captain and deserves to retain the role, regardless who wears the armband on any given match day. It’s obvious the full back is no longer a guaranteed starter but he is still a big presence around Ibrox.
How does Hearts boss Neil Critchley deal with the fallout from Kenneth Vargas revealing he wants away?
KEITH: Where’s the Alan Partridge shoulder-shrug gif? If Hearts are going to improve under Critchley then they need to find a serious upgrade for Vargas in any case. He may discover, however, that strikers who don’t score goals are not as sought after as he thinks.
FRASER: Remind the player he’s hardly setting the league on fire himself then hope that if a decent offer comes in in January he could sell and replace.
MICHAEL: Tell the striker to not let the door hit him on the way out. If Vargas wants to leave then good luck to him. He’d be best advised to actually score some goals in the next six months to help his side and earn him a move.
