Rangers transfer bulletin as Reuell Walters targeted and Damian Garcia in club feud

Philippe Clement has never denied that he wants a transfer overhaul this summer.

Five have already left Rangers at the expiry of their deals and that has left them threadbare, albeit with recruitment plans in place for the coming weeks and months. We at Football Scotland exclusively revealed to you the summer window desires Clement and his recruitment chief Nils Koppen have in their crosshairs and that includes a number of different positions, which takes into account those five who departed this week.

Oscar Cortes is one, the winger, who was signed up this morning on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of that contract. He played well at Ibrox this term before picking up an injury but was clearly a target.

A move for Reuell Walters of Arsenal has been touted this morning with the full-back seemingly wanted to challenge James Tavernier in that position. Dujon Sterling has proven himself versatile in just about every other spot on the pitch so a natural full-back on the right-hand side would suit. The player just rejected a new deal at the Emirates.

Centre-half is one position, on the left, that Gers want. But it won't be Jose Cordoba despite the Panamanian being given a guided Ibrox tour just at the tail end of the season. He'll now likely join Norwich City after financial terms could not be agreed.

Ridvan Yilmaz, meanwhile, appeared to hint at an Ibrox stay for next year despite recent suggestions he could leave as he vowed to be ready to go again in the summer. The Turk said: "I am very happy at Rangers right now and there is no thought about any future transfer for me."

Damian Garcia is in the midst of a row with his current club Penarol after failing to sign a new deal and that has sent the rumour mill into overdrive about Gers. Watch that one. Hearts' youngster Alfie Hutchison is set to join Gers from Tynecastle.
