Raphinha is reportedly ready to ‘go to war’ with Leeds to force through a move to Barcelona this summer.

The Brazilian has been linked with the Catalan giants for some time and had hoped to seal a €25-30m deal had Leeds been relegated from the Premier League.

Despite the club retaining their top flight status, Barcelona are still said to be keen on the winger, and Raphinha himself is now said to be forcing through the move.

Sport (via Sport Witness) claim he ‘is going to go all out to leave Leeds and is willing to go to war if necessary.’

This is quite the change from the 25-year-old’s reported initial stance, with claims suggesting he didn’t want to upset his employers or the fans, with whom he celebrated wildly at the end of the season.

But the report also points out that Angel Di Maria and Alexis Sanchez have offered themselves to Barcelona, both of whom would likely be signficantly cheaper than Raphinha.

Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona are yet to make an offer for Raphinha and also state that they will not make contact with Leeds until the future of Ousmane Dembele is clear.

The La Liga side want to keep Dembele but the Frenchman is said to have turned down a number of contracts amid interest from elsewhere.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to have recently dropped out of the race, but Chelsea remain heavily linked with the winger, who worked under Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund.

Raphinha spoke of the importance of the upcoming World Cup in his decision whether to stay or go.

He said: “If I say that it doesn’t matter, I would be lying, knowing that there are less than six months left for the Cup, you have to be active in the clubs, that weighs on the decision, but I trust my potential.

“If it’s to stay or leave, I’ll do my best, look for my space and I’ll try to be well for the World Cup.”

He was then asked what the future holds for him, to which he jokingly replied: “The next game, against Japan.

“Then I go on vacation. I have a contract with Leeds until 2024, my future is in the hands of Deco and Leeds, I have my mind on the national team, on the game and also on my vacation, we need a vacation.

“I have a contract with Leeds and this issue is resolved by my manager, when something is right, he sends [it to] me.”
