The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, officially kicked off Friday with the opening ceremony.

The ceremony began at 8 p.m. local time, which is 6 a.m. ET and 3 a.m. PT. The event is being streamed live on NBC’s website and apps, and will air on television at 8 p.m. ET Friday on NBC.
