Real life of Graham Potter - New role, huge Chelsea sack pay-off, Man United next manager odds
Graham Potter is back on our Sky Sports TV screen after a long absence as he appears as a guest panellist on the broadcaster's popular Monday Night Football (MNF) show.
The English manager has stayed out of the limelight since being axed by Chelsea in April 2023, just months into a five-year deal. In the meantime he has been linked with several jobs, albeit has refrained against taking a new role since his departure from Stamford Bridge.
The 49-year-old has recently declared he's ready to jump back into football management, once again, following a 17-month sabbatical. Here, football.london breaks down all you need to know about Potter as he eyes a return to the big time - with more to come following his much-anticipated MNF appearance;
Chelsea compensation package
Potter was shown the door by Todd Boehly just seven months into his five-year deal - having won just 12 of his 31 matches. His contract was worth around £50million, albeit it's thought a settlement was agreed for the club not to have to dish out all of that money to get rid of him.
The Guardian reported that Potter would receive a sizable pay-out of around £13million, having seen Chelsea fork out a record £21million release fee to prise him away from Brighton in the first place. Chelsea are paying Potter his signed salary - reportedly £200,000 a week - for the 18 months after his dismissal.
New TV role on Sky Sports
Potter's time on TV for Sky Sports is not expected to extend beyond tonight (September 30). He will be analysing Southampton's visit to Bournemouth in an all-South coast showdown, having spent more than two years close by with Brighton, before taking the Chelsea job.

Job interviews
Potter has been linked with several jobs during his time away from the game, such as OGC Nice and Manchester United; both owned by Ineos supremo Sir Jim Ratcliffe! Amid Gareth Southgate's resignation as England manager, Potter has also been namedropped as a potential successor there, too.
Betting odds for United job
Given United's dismal start to the season, Potter has naturally been linked with Old Trafford, once again. Paddy Power puts him at 14/1 to replace under-pressure Erik ten Hag should he be sacked.

Net worth and personal life
Married to Rachel with three sons, Potter opened up on his time spent with family and what he's been doing in an interview with The Telegraph. He revealed how he met with England Rugby head coach Steve Borthwick and did a leadership talk in the Falklands, having also visited the USA to watch several American sports.
He even went to a Taylor Swift concert with his 14-year-old son, admitting: "He's not as much of a fan as me!" There is not much information regarding his net worth, with a speculative website putting it at around £2.5million.
