Footage (via GIVEMESPORT)  has emerged showing Sergio Ramos trying to create a stronger atmosphere in the Bernabeu just before scoring the own goal that put Bayern Munich back in their Champions League quarter-final tie.

A minute before the own goal, Cristiano Ronaldo had scored to level the score at 1-1 on the night and put Madrid 3-2 up on aggregate with only 14 minutes remaining.

With the Spanish club seemingly on their way to the semi-finals, Ramos was clearly feeling very confident and upbeat.

Footage has emerged of the Spain international trying to display typical captain-behaviour by encouraging the fans to sing and cheer louder.

However, just seconds later, Ramos diverts the ball past his own keeper to put Bayern Munich 2-1 ahead in the match and level on aggregate.

Luckily for Ramos, Madrid, with a little help from the officials, managed to come back and win the game 4-2, giving them an aggregate victory of 6-3 and sending them into the Champions League semi-finals.
