Óscar's goal came after Joan Verdú had put the Periquitos ahead in the 70th minute.

Verdú was on the pitch for 90 minutes against Real Valladolid. The midfielder scored in the 70th minute, took three shots and completed 53 passes. Verdú's favorite passing target was Víctor Sánchez, with whom he linked up nine times.

Real Valladolid had possession for 53.2% of the contest. They had 12 shots, including six on target. Patrick Ebert had three shots for Real Valladolid, more than any of his team-mates. Jaime stopped five shots. Jaime's 15 passes to Marc Valiente were the most of any Real Valladolid teammates during the match.

A red card drawn by Víctor Álvarez in the 45th proved to be too much for Espanyol. The second yellow card came as the result of a hand, and left Los Blanquiazules a man down for the rest of the contest. Espanyol attempted six shots, including six on target.

Real Valladolid and Periquitos ended the first in a near even split in terms of ball possession, a stat that was reflected in the 0-0 draw at the break. Both sides had five shots in the first half, and Real Valladolid put two attempts on goal compared with two for Espanyol.

Real Valladolid now sit in seventh in the table with a record of three wins, three losses and one draw. Espanyol have yet to register a full three points this season, and now possess a winless streak of seven matches.
