Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool's signing of defender Sami Hyypia was one of the best bits of business in Premier League history.
Bought from Willem II in 1999 for £2.5m, Hyypia helped Liverpool win two FA Cups, two League Cups, a Champions League, a UEFA Cup and two UEFA Super Cups.
He made 464 appearances in all competitions for the Anfield club, lining up alongside Carragher on numerous times during the 10 years he was at Liverpool.
"Sami Hyypia. One of the greatest signings in not just Liverpool's history - £2.5m he was from a small club in Holland - but in Premier League history," he said on the Fantasy Football Club, as quoted by the Daily Star.
"The service he gave - what a fantastic footballer.
"The only thing he lacked was a bit of pace, but he read the game fanatically well.
"Great in the air and on the floor as well."
Hyypia became a fan favourite during his spell on Merseyside before departing for Bayer Leverkusen. He has since had managerial spells at Leverkusen, Brighton and Zurich, but is currently without a club.
The former Finland international is among a whole host of former Premier League stars signed for cheap fees, alongside ex-players like Chelsea icon Ruud Gullit, former Tottenham striker Jurgen Klinsmann and Liverpool legend Gary McAllister.
In more recent years Leicester have made a number of quality transfers on the cheap, including Jamie Vardy, who was influential during the title win of last season, and Esteban Cambiasso, who helped the Foxes avoid relegation in the 2014-15 campaign.
