Reese Witherspoon and Ava Phillippe Twinned in Strapless Dresses at the 2024 Critics' Choice Awards

Good taste is genetic.

Not only do impossibly good looks run in the Witherspoon-Phillippe gene pool, but also, apparently, a great fashion sense.

Case in point? On Sunday, Reese Witherspoon and her lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe had a mother-daughter date night at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards and they twinned in more ways than one while hitting the red carpet. For the occasion, Reese and Ava both wore black strapless dresses, with the Best Actress in a Drama Series nominee opting for a Celine gown with a thigh-high slit and an oversized bow across the waist. She accessorized with strappy black Christian Louboutin heels and Bulgari diamond jewelry.

Ava, meanwhile, chose a shorter hemline and wore a black Monique Lhuiller minidress embellished with pearls. Covering her legs were a pair of sheer black tights, and she finished off her look with black pointed-toe pumps and a Celine handbag.

In the beauty department, Reese styled her blonde hair sleek and straight with a middle part, while Ava went the wavy route. Bringing their twinning status back to the same page, both ladies paired their smoky eye makeup with rosy cheeks and pink lips.

Over on Instagram, Witherspoon shared a set of behind-the-scenes snaps of the two before they headed out the door. "Mother daughter date night 💕💫," Reese wrote in the caption of the post, which garnered the usual reaction from fans. "My brain can never process when you guys are in a photo together," commented one user, while simply stated what we all were thinking, writing: "Twinsies."
