Reese Witherspoon celebrated her daughter Ava Phillippe's 21st birthday the way many parents do these days - by sharing a social media homage. However, the one major difference is that Reese and Ava could basically be the same person.

Anyone who's a fan of Cruel Intentions or Legally Blonde remembers when Reese was in her twenties and her daughter Ava is basically her doppelgänger (although she does also look a bit like her father Ryan Phillippe).

Reese is famously her children's biggest supporter on social media, whether that means making a TikTok dance to commemorate her son Deacon Phillippe's first single or singing her daughter's praises.

To celebrate her daughter turning 21, she posted a true twinning picture alongside a heartwarming caption.

Ava seems to share her mother's sweet sentiments. For Mother's Day, she posted a picture of the pair along with the caption, "happy mother’s day to my first best friend! thank you for your everyday commitment to raising and loving us to the best of your ability."

While Ava often accompanies her mom on the red carpet, she's not an actress herself. Instead, she's in college at Stanford University, where Reese went for one year before pursuing acting. It's possible she'll one day join her mother in Hollywood, but for now, she's using her large social media following for activist work, educating her 958,000 followers about California wildfire relief and police alternatives.
