Reliance Foundation Young Champs 2017: Chennaiyin FC conducts scouting festival

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Chennaiyin FC conducted a scouting festival for final selection to the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) programme.

The festival was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Chennai by Chennaiyin FCtechnical director of grassroots and first team assistant coach Syed Sabir Pasha withReliance Foundation Young Champs technical director Piet Hubers keeping a close watch.

The programme, launched by Reliance Foundation, aims to spot promising talents between the ages of 11 and 14 through grassroots programmes and held them develop their skills. All eight franchises of the league expected to scout talents who will be housed atRFYC’s Navi Mumbai facility under a residential footballing scholarship.

Chennaiyin FC, winners of the ISL in 2015, had shortlisted 64 boys for the final round of selection held today. The final list from Tamil Nadu will be announced once the scouting festivals of all eight ISL franchises are finished.
