Paul Simpson has made no secret of his desire to add to his attacking options this summer, and in Edmondson he has found a player to whom he is no stranger - with the pair having worked together during the Carlisle manager's time within the England youth setup.
The striker spent his formative years with Huddersfield Town and York City before joining Leeds in 2017.
He's enjoyed loan spells with Aberdeen, Northampton Town, Fleetwood Town and most recently Port Vale - for whom he scored three times after joining the Valiants in the January transfer window.
Edmondson would become the Blues' third signing of the summer, following on from Owen Moxon and Tomas Holy.
