Reports: Seahawks to sign OL Fluker

The Seattle Seahawks will sign former New York Giants offensive lineman D.J. Fluker, according to multiple reports.

Fluker, who turned 27 last week, signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Giants in free agency last spring and played in nine games in 2017, making six starts at guard and filling in occasionally at tackle. His season ended with a toe injury suffered in Week 11.

The 11th overall pick in the 2013 draft, Fluker spent the first four years of his career with the then-San Diego Chargers, starting 31 games at tackle over his first two seasons before moving to guard in 2015.

The Seahawks are looking to shore up their offensive line after firing former OL coach Tom Cable earlier this offseason. The team brought in tackle Duane Brown via trade in the middle of last season and picked up center Justin Britt's option earlier this week. Tackle/guard Luke Joeckel is a free agent after playing 11 games in Seattle last season, as is guard Oday Aboushi.
