A WINSFORD-based hospice is encouraging people to sign up to it’s 100K challenge next month to raise funds and increase people’s fitness.

St Luke’s Hospice’s 100K Your Way is all about getting people active, with people able to choose where, when and how they complete 100k throughout February.

This could be by running, walking, swimming, cycling, dog-walking – or anything else!

There are no registration fees and everyone taking part will be sent a free t-shirt to wear as they complete their challenge.

St Luke’s Hospice’s website reads: “February is the perfect month for our 100K challenge, because there are precisely four weeks within the month.

“From Wednesday, February 1, you have 28 days to complete your 100K (62.1 miles).

“Plus, if you didn’t quite have the willpower to stick with your New Year’s resolution, then maybe this has come at the right time!

“There are some great ways to help you with ‘100K your way’ – and some of them won’t cost you a penny!

“There are several free apps available to download onto your phone, which will map your run and calculate your distance as you go.

“‘100K your way’ is certainly no mean feat and we’d like to encourage you to fundraise for St Luke’s where you can.”

There is no minimum fundraising target.
