Restaurant debuts Sunday roast with all proceeds going to charity

A family-friendly restaurant in Bearsden is introducing a Sunday roast with all proceeds going to charity.

Beat 6 on Milngavie Road will be dishing up an autumn-approved set menu and donating the funds to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Available every Sunday from 12pm, the roast costs £28 for two courses and £32 for three courses. A children's menu is available at £8 for one course and £12 for two.

Starters include a black pudding scotch egg, smoked ham hough, and heirloom tomato veloute among others. The main roast is either a roast rump of beef or salt-baked celeriac.

Nico Simeone, founder and chef at Beat 6, said: "Beat 6's new three-course Sunday roast, available weekly, is the perfect way to cap off the weekend.

"Our family-friendly Sundays welcome all ages with the addition of our new kids' menu."

The two-level, 48-seat restaurant from the Six by Nico team launched in Bearsden in April 2023 and welcomes visitors to "Dine to Donate" - delivering a monthly rotating 4-course set menu.

Six by Nico and their customers have raised over £350,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity through a series of team events across their eleven locations and 100% of the proceeds from the Beat 6 brand go directly to Beatson Cancer Charity.
