After signing a new deal at Manchester United last week, Jesse Lingard has seen his earnings rise significantly.  In fact, the winger is making more than three times more than  what he used to make on a weekly basis at the club.

Certainly, £100,000-a-week is nothing to shirk at, but there are still nine players earning more than Lingard at United.

The Old Trafford side employ the world's most expensive player in Paul Pogba, and had to ensure that he got a large slice of the pie. However, with Wayne Rooney signing a deal back in 2014 that stated he would always be the highest earner in the team, the Frenchman had to settle for second place on the wage list, but pockets £290,000 - £10,000 less than what Rooney makes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic just had to be in the top three, and commanding a weekly wage of  £220,000, he's just above David De Gea, who earns  £200,000.

Below is the complete list of United's stars and their earnings. The fact that Phil Jones earns way more than Anthony Martial might surprise you.

Player Weekly Wage
Wayne Rooney £300,000/w

Marcus Rashford is rooted to the bottom, but we imagine things could change pretty soon, given the impact he's had on the club in the last year.
