REVEALED: Reason El Kanemi Warriors players are rejecting offers

The Borno Army attacker has declared his club’s readiness to vie for the league title when hostilities begin in January

El Kanemi Warriors team manager, Ali Ajayi reveals that his players are turning down offers due to the management's faithfulness.

Since the open of the Nigerian topflight mid-season transfer window, El Kanemi players have refused to move despite interests from other clubs.

And Ajayi confidently revealed the secret behind their decision to stay put.

"We have a group of players who understand themselves and the management has kept to its promises to the players and that earned the confidence of the players and the entire El Kanemi Warriors confidence," Ajayi told Goal.

"When a club agrees to a contract with a player, it's important to stay true to it. When you promise to pay a particular amount to player, it's important to make sure that you keep to that promise and let it be consistent at the end of the month.

"The players know so well that whatever has been agreed with the club is paid as at when due. It may not be a fat amount, but we are consistent with what we have promised," he added.

"Also, you know that the team is currently doing well so which player will like to move to a different club at this time?

"We shall make sure we keep and maintain the belief system in our camp as we target to lift the league's trophy for the people of Borno state."

El Kanemi Warriors sit third on the league table but are tied on 33 points with second-placed MFM.
