Scotland's Richie Ramsay produced a dazzling late display in the final round of the Cazoo Classic on Sunday to earn himself his first DP World Tour title since 2015. The world No.239 birdied three of his last holes to card 69 in his final round, leaving him with a 14-under total. Ramsay's fast finish meant he pipped England's Paul Waring to the title in front of his home crowd. France's Julien Guerrier was the favourite heading into the final round after leading overnight, but he threw away a three-stroke lead to end up with a shared third on 12-under.

After ending his seven-year winless run in the tour, Ramsay was understandably elated to lift the trophy, and devoted it to his daughter. "The biggest thing for me was I made a promise to my daughter, and I don't break promises to her," Ramsay said. "I said I would get a trophy and this one's for here. It feels unbelievable."

Ramsay has previously won three other DP World Tour titles, but his last came in 2015 when he scooped the Trophee Hassan II. The DP World Tour's UK swing continues next week with the Hero Open, held at Fairmont St Andrews.
