Rio 2016: Pole vaulter's dream crushed by his penis

A Japanese athlete's dream at winning an Olympic medal in the pole vault was ended by his penis.

Hiroki Ogita finished 21st in the qualifiers, after he floundered on the 5.45m jump.

Unfortunately he knocked the pole and fell into the crash mat, preventing him from progressing further in the competition.

Ogita was attempting to clear the height when his leg came in contact with the bar. As he began to drop back down towards the ground, his shin grazed the bar, causing it to wobble dangerously.

But it was his penis that delivered the final blow.

Already unsteady, the bar was dislodged from its holdings when Ogita’s penis decided to make an appearance and slap the metal bar.
