Escare finds new club

France international full-back Morgan Escare has joined Carcassonne for the upcoming French Elite 1 Championship season.

Salford confirmed the departure of the 31-year-old yesterday, although he had another year on his contract at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Leeds keen on Wales star

Leeds are keeping tabs on Wales international forward Bailey Antrobus, who plays for York in the Championship. (Yorkshire Evening Post)

The Australia-born forward joined York from St George Illawarra Dragons on a deal until the end of this season and recently signed a new deal with the Knights for 2023. Antrobus is attracting interest from the Rhinos though, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Featherstone interested in Papua New Guinea star

Rovers have made contact with Laybutt’s representatives about a potential move to the UK, according to Yorkshire Live.

Patton future

Bradford half-back Dec Patton has reportedly been offered to rival clubs. (Yorkshire Live)

The former Warrington playmaker has been told that he is free to pursue deals elsewhere despite being under contract at Odsal, according to Yorkshire Live.

Patton made more than 100 appearances for hometown club Warrington between 2015-21, winning the Challenge Cup in 2019.

Miski’s Lebanese pride

His sister Zaina and nephew Abbas, who is named after the Wigan winger, are following Miski at the tournament.

Morley hails Radley

Also celebrating; ex-Wigan winger Amos Roberts (42), Scotland international Kieran Moran (26) and Sheffield winger Matty Chrimes (26).

Trivia

Canada player Laura Mariu, 41, is the only player to have competed in every Women’s Rugby League World Cup. She has played for the Kiwis in the last five tournaments, and is representing her Canadian heritage at this year’s World Cup.
