Robby McCrorie Rangers transfer fee demands amid Aberdeen interest in wantaway goalkeeper

Rangers have reportedly slapped a £500,000 plus add-ons fee on the head of Robby McCrorie this summer.

The wantaway goalkeeper, 26, has already submitted a transfer request to the club as he looks to become a starting stopper elsewhere with his playing time limited at Ibrox over the years. Aberdeen are believed to be interested in prising the player away from Glasgow to potentially replace Kelle Roos as their number one while other clubs down south are also keen on the goalie.

However the Daily Record are now claiming Gers have made their demands and want £500k with McCrorie now heading into the final year of his contract.

Rangers may lose the player on a pre-contract in January but that's not what they're looking for and it appears they will entertain bids should they meet their valuation after McCrorie asked to leave earlier this season.

Jack Butland is the clear number one but manager Philippe Clement could not allow his deputy to depart for fears of a mega-money bid for the former England star or possible injury issues.

Jon McLaughlin was allowed to leave at the end of his deal this summer while the club are working on a swoop for freebie Liam Kelly who has opted to leave Motherwell.
