Rockets' Patrick Beverley fined $25K for fan exchange

Beverly got into a heated discussion with Stuart Scaramucci, son of Thunder minority owner Jay Scaramucci, at Friday's Game 3 matchup.

Rockets guard Pat Beverley will be fined $25,000 for an exchange with a Thunder fan following Friday's Game 3 matchup, ESPN reported Sunday.

He will not face suspension for the confrontation following his team's 115-113 loss at Oklahoma City.

Beverly had a verbal encounter with Stuart Scaramucci, son of Thunder minority owner Jay Scaramucci, during the second quarter of Friday's game after he was fouled and fell to the floor in front of Scaramucci’s seat.

Beverly wasn't particularly pleased with the exchange in the first half and approached Scaramucci after the game ended. The two got into a heated discussion before Beverly exited the court as fans screamed at him.

The Rockets hold a 2-1 lead over the Thunder in the opening series, with Game 4 scheduled for Sunday afternoon in Oklahoma City.
