Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is not backwards in coming forward when it comes to his own FIFA 17 prowess, proudly naming himself as the best that Goodison Park has to offer.
But given the amount of practice he puts in, it's perhaps not surprising.
"All the time. Every day," Lukaku, speaking to EASPORTS.com, said when asked if he plays much.
The Belgian, who was recently named Premier League Player of the Month for March and is currently on course to scoop the Golden Boot, needed just one word to answer the question on who the top Toffees FIFA 17 gamer is.
"Me", was the reply, although he did acknowledge, "[Ramiro] Funes Mori is also very good".
Lukaku has been the obvious hero of Everton's season as the Toffees battle to finish in the top half of the table for the first time since 2013/14 and potentially earn a European place. Much of the team's success has come from summer signing Idrissa Gueye, though, a player whose FIFA 17 rating was massively boosted from 76 to 82 during the recent mid-season upgrades.
"He's been really good," Lukaku said of his Everton colleague.
"He's been one of the signings of the season for me, he improved the team in midfield by making so many challenges. He allows us to control the game a lot more which we were lacking slightly last year. He's given us this control through his work rate, passing and his dedication.
He is someone that we really need."
