Ronda Rousey to Kick Off FOX NFL Sunday Coverage

Ronda Rousey to Kick Off FOX NFL Sunday Coverage

Over the past year, Ronda Rousey has taken over. She's not only taken over the UFC, she's seemingly taken over everything, everywhere. Inside and outside of the Octagon, there's not a day goes by that the UFC champ isn't in our view.

She's recently graced covers of Self magazine and Sports Illustrated, as well as her own memoire. She's on the silver screen in Hollywood blockbusters and on the small screen with guest spots on LIVE with Kelly and Michael to co-hosting SportsCenter on ESPN to the full late-night talk show circuit. She also topped boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to win this year's ESPY for Best Fighter, as well as winning the award for Best Female Athlete.

Not one to leave well enough alone, Rousey's next new gig will be as part of this Sunday's FOX NFL Sunday.

Rousey is doing the voiceover intro to this week's FOX NFL Sunday pregame show at Noon ET, which leads into the week's live games telecast on FOX. Following FOX's usual football doubleheader, Rousey is then scheduled to appear live on The OT, which is FOX's extended coverage after the second doubleheader game finishes up.

FOX NFL Sunday is America’s most-watched pregame show for 22 years running and averages more than 5 million viewers each week.

Where we'll see Rousey next is anyone's guess, but she's certainly creating a list of accomplishments and appearances that will be difficult for any mixed martial artist that follows in her footsteps to duplicate.

Rousey returns to the Octagon to defend her bantamweight belt against Holly Holm on Nov. 14 (Nov. 15 local time) at UFC 193 in Melbourne. It is expected to set a record for the highest attendance and gate for any UFC event in history.
