Ronda Rousey Lands Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Cover

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has landed on the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

It has been no secret that Rousey was one of the models chosen to appear as part of the bodypaint feature of the 2016 edition of SI's annual Swimsuit Issue, but on Saturday, it was revealed that Rousey would also be featured on the cover.

Rousey's spot on one of three special covers was revealed on Saturday night's SI Swimsuit 2016 Revealed on TNT. The two other cover models to be featured are Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson. It marks the first time 52 years that there will be three different SI Swimsuit covers.

Although Rousey lost her title and her unblemished record when Holly Holm knocked her out at UFC 193 in November, she doesn't seem to have lost any luster in the spotlight. Since the defeat, Rousey has hosted Saturday Night Live, now graces the cover of SI's Swimsuit Issue, and will still be starring in several roles in upcoming Hollywood feature films.

There has been no hard date set for her return to the Octagon, but if Holm wins her bout with Miesha Tate at UFC 196 on March 5, UFC president Dana White has said that it is possible the two could have a rematch in the fall of 2016.
