McIlroy, 27, said he would have worn the green jacket from the Masters on his wedding day had hewon the title earlier this month.
"It's a great time in our lives. ... the next few weeks it's all about that," McIlroytold reporters afterthe Masters. "I'll come back to the Players refreshed and a married man and start a new chapter in my life."
The news of the wedding comes just three years after McIlroy was engaged to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, but famously called off their weddingafter the invitations were sent out. At the time, McIlroy stated that he wasn't ready for all that marriage entailed.
Now settled as one of the best young players on the PGA Tour, McIlroy will officially take himself off the dating market, thus settling his home life as well.
