Rory Wilson punching above Rangers weight proves Aston Villa right as Ibrox pal tips kid for top
Rory Wilson broke records within Rangers' youth academy before he moved down south to Aston Villa.
The young striker joined the club in 2022 and is already coveted by clubs around Europe with Bayer Leverkusen believed to be circling as he continues to discuss a new contract with the Premier League outfit. For James Graham, it's no surprise the prodigious talent has several clubs monitoring his progress as it was the same at Ibrox.
At just 15, Wilson had already convinced coach David McCallum and the rest of the Auchenhowie staff to move him up the age ranks and have him competing at under-18s with the lads pushing for B team and even first-team football.

Wilson lashed in a staggering 49 goals for club and country before Villa took the plunge to sign him and Graham - who played with the teen during his own Rangers days - recalls being blown away by his raw talent at such a young age.
"Rory was always good," Graham told Football Scotland. "He used to play up with us at under-18s and you could always tell he was gonna be flying. He's gone down there and ripped it up. He was good. He was obviously really young when he was at Rangers but he was scoring goals and you could tell he was gonna be a player.
"He's went there and he's flying. He scored some crazy numbers last season so it's good to see. I still give him the odd message. I've played with him and it's good to see anyone you've played and trained with to go and do well. If he carries on the way he's going, he will!"
