Rose Namajunas Faces Nina Ansaroff at UFC 187 on May 23

The Ultimate Fighter 20 finalist Rose Namajunas will return to the octagon at UFC 187 on May 23 to take on Nina Ansaroff.

The fight announcement came on this week’s edition of UFC Tonight.

Namajunas (2-2) is coming off a loss to strawweight champion Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale on Dec. 12. The 22-year-old hopes to rebound from back-to-back losses when she faces Ansaroff at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Ansaroff (6-4) had a four-fight winning streak snapped in her UFC debut against Juliana Lima at UFC Fight Night 56 in November. A win over Namajunas would propel the 29-year-old into the top fifteen rankings.

UFC 187 features two title fights. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones faces Anthony Johnson in the main event while middleweight titleholder Chris Weidman takes on former champion Vitor Belfort in the co-main event.
