Doncaster have secured the signing of Rob Jones on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old joins on a free transfer after being released by south Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
The former Scunthorpe and Hibernian defender has been brought in by boss Dean Saunders as a replacement for George Friend, who has completed his move to npower Championship side Middlesbrough.
Jones captained Wednesday to promotion last season but lost his place in the starting line-up in March.
He made 45 appearances for the Owls, scoring five times.
