Stradivarius leads the betting for the 2019 Royal Ascot Gold Cup as the John Gosden-trained five-year-old bids to retain the showpiece trophy.

He has continued his winning streak since that win 12 months ago and is unbeaten in five races, but faces competition from Cross Counter and Dee Ex Bee, who are also well-fancied.

The Gold Cup is the event's oldest surviving race and in 2013 The Queen's entry Estimate became the first winning horse of the owned by a reigning monarch in its 207-year history.
