Ruben Amorim tipped to spoil Liverpool's perfect transfer as fresh Man United claim emerges
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be set to spoil Liverpool's transfer for Omar Marmoush. The Reds have been regularly linked with the Egypt international in recent months.
The 25-year-old has been in fine form in the Bundesliga, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists from 17 appearances from Eintracht Frankfurt so far this campaign. Uncertainty over Mohamed Salah's future continues after he revealed there has not yet been a breakthrough with the club over a new contract.
Should the Reds decide to make an approach for the 25-year-old, they will face competition from United. Sky Germany reports he has emerged as a possible reinforcement for Amorim's attack at Old Trafford.

He is said to be in United's 'sights' and would cost around €50m-€60m (£41m-£50m). Marmoush is the second-best scorer in the Bundesliga, behind Bayern Munich star Harry Kane.
Amid links to Anfield, Salah has had to tell the media to stop comparing himself to his Egypt teammate, at a time when Marmoush is attempting to become a star of the European game. "There are not many players from Egypt and the Arab countries who went to Europe and fought for success, and Marmoush is one of them," Salah said at the time. "I see that he has great potential, he is an important player for his team and the national team, I want to stay away from him the idea of comparisons to make his life easier.
"I want people to stop comparing him to me by saying that he will be the new Salah and will do what he did and overcome, that will put him under pressure all the time and does not help the player."
Meanwhile, Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung has revealed Liverpool have not made any contact with the club regarding the player. "No, we have no contact with Liverpool regarding Marmoush," he told Win Win.
"No negotiations or contacts. I know the people there but there is nothing, there is no contact with any club regarding the player. We do not want to dispense with him, we do not want to sell him, certainly also in January. In the transfer market there is no room for assumptions, but there is no reason to sell him in the winter.
"It is clear that players like Omar have their own market value in the transfer market. At the moment, we are not looking to sell him. We are very happy with him at our club. He is still developing, and we want to be part of that, and achieve good things together, and then we will see what happens in the summer. Who knows?! He might stay in the team.
"There is definitely a possibility that he will stay in the team next summer, we will not let him go. He has a great personality, he is an excellent footballer, there is no reason to let go of a player like him. It is better for us to have him here with us and strive to achieve something big."
