Cameron Smith will again line up for Australia

The Melbourne and Queensland hooker will play his third consecutive game for the Kangaroos while Daly Cherry-Evans will have another opportunity to stake a claim for a regular place after being paired at half-back with Cooper Cronk.

Greg Inglis, Matt Scott, Darius Boyd and Johnathan Thurston are the players chosen to sit out the game at Thomond Park as coach Tim Sheens continues to tinker with his team.

Second rower Boyd Cordner, who made his debut in last week's 34-2 win over Fiji, will be given a chance to fill the spot vacated by the injured Luke Lewis and twins Brett and Josh Morris are paired in the threequarters.

Team: B Slater; B Morris, J Morris, B Tate, J Hayne; D Cherry-Evans, C Cronk; J Tamou, C Smith (capt), P Gallen, S Thaiday, G Bird, N Myles. Subs: A Fifita, C Parker, B Cordner, R Farah.
