Rugby League - Broncos-Hull clash finishes all square

Hull FC moved level with rivals Hull KR in the last play-off spot as Danny Tickle kept his nerve with a last-gasp touchline conversion to secure an 18-18 draw away to the London Broncos at the Stoop.

First-half tries from Tommy Lee and Kieran Dixon gave the Broncos a 10-6 half-time lead and when Matt Cook went over just before the hour the game looked over as a contest.

Ben Galea had gone over in the first half for Hull FC, and with 20 minutes remaining Joe Westerman scored their second to spark a Hull recovery.

Still Broncos looked like they would hold out, but in the final minute Richard Horne went over in the corner, and Tickle did the rest with a stunning kick to level things with less than a minute remaining.

Sam Tomkins celebrated his 24th birthday with a hat-trick of tries but he was overshadowed by a four-star show from England team-mate Josh Charnley as Wigan romped to a 62-4 victory over a disappointing Widnes.

Wigan ran in 11 tries, with Chris Tuson, Liam Farrell, Pat Richards and Iain Thornley also crossing, to move within a point of Super League leaders Huddersfield.

The Warriors were without five first-choice forwards through injury but still had too much power and skill for the outclassed Vikings, who claimed a consolation score through Lloyd White late on.

And Catalan Dragons came from behind at home for the third time this season to clinch a 30-10 win over Bradford in Perpignan.

The home side trailed 10-0 early on but managed to get themselves back into the game just before the break and run out convincing winners.

Morgan Escare crossed over for a brace of tries while Julian Bosquet, Louis Anderson, Zeb Taia and Leon Pryce got one apiece and Thomas Bosc added the extras for the home side.

Elliot Kear and John Bateman scored the tries for Bradford and Jamie Foster converted, but the Bulls had no reply in the second half.
