Evans joined the Bulls on a season-long loan from Warrington in the winter but missed the first three months of the campaign after undergoing hip surgery.

"He may well play this week or, if not, he may get a run in the cup tie (at Rochdale) the week after," Cummins said.

"The problem he has is that he hasn't been able to train over Easter because the team weren't training because of the games, and obviously he can't play (on dual-registration) for Dewsbury because he's on loan to us.

"He needs to get a week's training with contact and we'll make a decision."

Wigan are expected to welcome back forwards Sean O'Loughlin, Lee Mossop and Harrison Hansen from injury as well as goalkicking winger Pat Richards, who missed last Sunday's win over Wakefield after being delayed on his return from his brother's wedding in Australia.
