Halifax took advantage of Featherstone's defeat to Sheffield on Thursday evening to go a point clear as Craig Ashall, Rikki Sheriffe and Anthony Thackeray also crossed, with Lee Patterson adding five goals.

Injury-hit Swinton Lions came from behind to record a 14-6 triumph over Doncaster. Former Hull KR star Paul Cooke crossed in the 10th minute and Stewart Sanderson converted to put Doncaster 6-0 up but Swinton hit back with a Rhys Evans try.
Darren Hawkyard then went over seven minutes before the break and together with Ryan Shaw's three goals it was enough to secure victory.
Richie Barnett crossed for a pair of tries as Keighley recorded their first victory of the season with a 34-0 win over fellow strugglers York City Knights.
Whitehaven responded to last week's heavy defeat to Hunslet by returning home from Barrow with a 30-20 victory.
James Newton crossed for a brace of tries, while their were also four-pointers for Scott McAvoy, Lee Doran, Craig Calvert and Jessie Joe Parker. Jamie Rooney added three goals.
Liam Harrison scored two of Barrow's four tries and Sean Casey added two goals to his try. Kurt Haggerty also went over.
