The Rhinos, with two games in hand, remain four points adrift of the Warriors, turning the screw on their hosts in the final 10 minutes of the first half when they held a slender 10-6 lead.

Kallum Watkins crossed over for a second-half brace after Ryan Hall opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Brett Delaney, Zak Hardaker, Mitch Achurch, Joel Moon and Ian Kirke added one apiece in between for the visitors as Kevin Sinfield added the extras.

Michael Dobson created an opening for Cory Paterson - following Hall's opener - to charge his way over the line to level the score at 4-4 and Dobson's conversion edged Rovers ahead, but they could only add a late try from Omari Caro as the Rhinos ran riot.

In the other Sunday game, Warrington Wolves comfortably saw off Bradford Bulls 32-4 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
