Luke Robinson was sent off against Catalan at the weekend

Robinson was sent off by referee James Child after 53 minutes following the intervention of a touch-judge for allegedly making contact with the head of Catalan full-back Morgan Escare off the ball.

It meant the Giants were forced to play almost the last half-hour with 12 men, although they went on win the match.

London Broncos centre James Mendeika is facing the threat of suspension after being charged with an illegal tackle while making his Super League debut.

Mendeika, who has joined the Broncos on loan from Warrington, is accused of using his knees in the tackle, a grade B offence, during his side's 21-14 win over St Helens at the Twickenham Stoop.

Castleford full-back Jordan Tansey has been charged with a grade A careless high tackle on winger Danny Williams during the Tigers' 34-30 defeat at Salford.

Both players were charged by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel and have until 1100 on Tuesday to submit early-guilty pleas or face a disciplinary hearing.

The panel also issued a formal caution to Hull KR forward Con Mika for making dangerous contact on Leeds' Kevin Sinfield during his side's 44-10 home defeat by the Rhinos.
