Rupert Everett says Piers Morgan is 'like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' after filming for 'Life Stories'

Rupert Everett reckons his former foe Piers Morgan is playing two different characters.

The My Best Friend's Wedding actor described him as "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" in an interview on Loose Women on Wednesday as he spoke about appearing on an upcoming episode of the journalist's Life Stories series.

"I did Life Stories with Piers and when I went and sat down in the hot chair the first thing he said was 'Okay Rupert, I'd like to tell you all the things you've written about me'.

"I was really embarrassed that he listed these things, the things I'd said about him and anyway he was very generous and we got through it and we're now best friends," he laughed.

Everett explained: "He's rather like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Piers, because in the morning he's one character and then in the afternoon on his Life Stories he's another character."

The pair had a famous feud for a number of years before it was put to bed in a 2018 interview on Good Morning Britain.

It kicked off when Everett was placed on the same team as Morgan for a brief and ill-fated appearance on Comic Relief Does The Apprentice back in 2007, which he quit after one day.

Discussing the experience in 2012 with The Guardian, Everett said Morgan reminded him of "all the people I was terrified of at school" although did praise him for his career achievements.

"I don't like how he is; I've seen him on a few other Apprentice-like things and he takes it too seriously. He's a killer. He's pathological," he said.

He also expressed disbelief over Morgan's marriage to Celia Walden whom he described as "gorgeous and very funny".
