Ryan Gravenberch has emerged as a fans' favorite this season and he was serenaded with a song that was previously reserved for one of his Netherlands teammates during Liverpool's win over Bournemouth.

The young midfielder started for a sixth game in a row under Arne Slot and produced another impressive performance as the Reds made it four wins from five matches in the Premier League.

And his displays have earned him a new song from the Anfield faithful, with fans singing his name to the tune of 'This Girl' by Australian funk trio Cookin' on 3 Burners.

The song was previously used to serenade Georginio Wijnaldum, with fans regularly belting out, 'du du du du du du Gi-ni Wij-nal-dum!'. The name Ryan Gravenberch has the same amount of syllables in it as Gini Wijnaldum, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out how the new version goes!

Gravenberch makes up one third of Liverpool's first-choice midfield, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister completing the trio, and Mac Allister said after Saturday's win over Bournemouth just how much he is enjoying playing alongside the former Ajax midfielder at the moment.

“We try to adapt to how they (the opponent) play as well, but I’m very lucky, I have to say, because Ryan is a fantastic player,” the Argentine said of playing next to Gravenberch to Sky Sports.

“When you play with good players, everything is easier. I’m very happy that he is doing well, and I think everyone can see that and see how important Ryan is for our team. It’s nice to play alongside him, we are trying to still adapt and learn from each other, so I really enjoy it.”
